Virginia Sports League Organization is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to mentoring, elevating, and creating opportunities through competitive sports. Our mission is to use the power of athletics to build stronger individuals and, in turn, stronger communities for all.

The organization was founded by Robert Murray, Justin Aube, and Jalen Murray, whose partnership began in 2010 through the development of a summer basketball league. What started as a passion project quickly grew into something much bigger, as we witnessed firsthand the positive impact the league had on players, families, and the community as a whole. The consistent support and feedback we received made it clear that this platform could be used for more than competition—it could be a vehicle for real change.

Driven by that vision, we intentionally shaped our events to combine high-quality competition with meaningful community engagement. Our approach is simple: bring people together through sports, and use that connection to mentor, inspire, and create opportunities.

Virginia Sports League Organization was established to expand that mission beyond a single league—allowing us to grow our programs, deepen our impact, and continue serving the community in new and meaningful ways.
